The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas

The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas
We are all like sea shells tossed about in rough waters and being re-shaped in wondrous ways. But have you ever contemplated the notion that sea shells have to complete their journey through the rough waters before they get to rest on the shore? Yeah, we are ALL like sea shells and Heaven is The Great Shore.

This May Not Be The Most Glamorous Supper...

Greetings,

Tonight hubby got a nice chicken pot pie.
Golden Crisp, Savory, and I know that it would have tasted wonderful too.

But I didn't want heavy food tonight.

Tonight I wanted to nibble
And tonight I wanted luxury.

So my dinner tonight consisted of:
2 Banana's
2 Clementine's
1 Dan Active Immunity Shot ( Blueberry )
1 Container of Fage Greek Yogurt with Honey
And a handful of Glazed Walnuts.

Clearly this wasn't Steak & Lobster.

But it WAS Luxury for me.
And it WAS Indulgent.
And my tummy isn't all heavy right now.

Why 2 Banana's and 2 Clementine's as a part of my supper????
Charlie Horses....bad ones...while I was working out in the pool today.
Got the back of both thighs AND the back of both my calves...simultaneously.
Actually, I have had Charlie Horses every night for the last 10 days...with just terrible ones last night.

But I didn't think about that before I got into the pool today.

God was watching over me, cause I thought I sensed it coming on and had started making my way to the shallow end of the pool.

Was about 6 feet away from the stairs when everything locked up.

Today I had gotten one of those big foam noodles from the storage locker by the side of the pool.

I don't usually do that.
But today I did.
(Clearly this was a God Thing!)

And I had put it at the deep end of the pool.
During the last lap I was able to do, I got the noodle, put it under both arms and was only kicking my legs to make forward motion...and THATS when the legs cramped up.
But...the noodle kept me from going under water.

I wiggled to get the stairs...and positioned my legs so that I could stretch the Charlie Horses Loose.

Never had 4 different spasms hit me all once like that before, (not to mention it happening while in a pool lol).

Getting up the stairs was a little bit tricky.

-Banana's and the Clementine's are high in potassium.
-Which is why I needed to get them tonight.
-Increased Asthma meds lower my potassium levels...and it's kind of a difficult cycle sometimes...

Anyway...once I got into the dressing room and into dry clothes,  I left and drove myself straight to the store where I picked quite a few banana's and a sack of Clementine's.
Hopefully tonight they help will ward off the Charlie Horses.

The Yogurt and Walnuts were a secondary thought...but totally delicious.

The little muscle spasms in the legs are not completely gone yet...guess I better eat a bit more fruit tonight.

In Him,
Grace

Amen on the Noodles comment lol.

I like the FAGE brand of Greek yogurt with honey...the package has two little compartments with separate little containers of each and you blend them after you open it. To me its the best one with the Honey blend.
But...

I like CHOBANI Greek yogurt better than any of the other ones with fruits inside.

(lol @ Gracie the Food Critic here, but the CHOBANI brand is wonderful (140 calories with NO Fat, NO Cholesterol and 14 grams of Protein.) I eat that for lunch all the time.

After eating Greek Yogurts, I don't even LIKE the regular kind anymore any more.
Oh Well...enough Yogurt Philosophy for today.

BTW...I am so snazzed cause:
FINAL EXAMS TODAY & TOMORROW
...and then CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!!
WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO

In Him
