The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas

The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas
We are all like sea shells tossed about in rough waters and being re-shaped in wondrous ways. But have you ever contemplated the notion that sea shells have to complete their journey through the rough waters before they get to rest on the shore? Yeah, we are ALL like sea shells and Heaven is The Great Shore.

All Things Considered, It's Been A Good Day :)

Greetings Everybody,
I was up way early this morning.
In fact...truth being told, I was up most of the night.

It was a severe asthma night.

So that's a Big Red X on the Negative Side of the Tally.

SIGH!

But, let me ask you a question...
How do you define "A Good Day"?

Are your "Good Days" Always free of ANY and ALL negative aspects?
No...Probably Not.

Mostly "Good Days" are when there are more Positives than Negatives right?

Simply Put: More Positives=Higher Scores on the "GOOD DAY" Ranking Sheets of Life.

Here's another question for you...
Is there a way to exactly define the components of a good day?

Hmmm...No...Not Really.

Cause there are probably a billion or so different possible ways to answer that question.
Every person will have their own unique perspective on this topic.

And isn't PERSPECTIVE what it's all about?

With that in mind, and knowing that I was up all night, and have struggled all day to breathe...please allow me to share more aspects of today with you..

Clearly, today had Significant and Undeniably Negative components to it.
No argument about that.

BUT
Today has also been jam-packed with Notably Positive components.

To Wit...

1.
My husband was such a sweetie today.
I didn't have enough air to get dressed and go to church this morning, so he stayed home with me.
And he made breakfast...biscuits and bacon.
Yes he served me the Huckleberry Preserves on warm buttered biscuits.
They were scrumptious.

2.
The Black Eyed Peas, Ham and Cornbread were great.

3.
The Kids came over, as previously planned, to have Sunday Lunch with us.
The whole family pitched in to help.
It was nice to be pampered.

4.
I have a very simple Peach Cobbler recipe...self rising crust...takes about 1.5 minutes to prepare, pour into a baking dish and then plop into a hot oven.
Let me just say that a deep cast iron dutch oven is just the ticket for this recipe.
It was perfect.

5.
My family cleaned the kitchen, the kids just left....and I am going to go on to bed pretty soon.

It's not time to go to sleep yet, but if it happens, then that's cool too. My house is clean. I spent the day in my pajama's, I held my grandson, and I was surrounded by family and love all day long.

In Closing:
Perspective is Everything.

Today had 1 Big Red X and 5 Giant Green Check Marks.

But that's only because I CHOSE to see it that way.

Humans Tend to Find What They Seek.

This Is Why I Seek Joy!

All Things Considered, It's Been A Good Day:)

In Him,
Grace
