The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas

The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas
We are all like sea shells tossed about in rough waters and being re-shaped in wondrous ways. But have you ever contemplated the notion that sea shells have to complete their journey through the rough waters before they get to rest on the shore? Yeah, we are ALL like sea shells and Heaven is The Great Shore.

Taking up the Challenge of "Simply Darling"

Greetings Everybody,
OK...after seeing Betsy's (of My Five Men fame) "Simply Darling" art contribution...I humbly submit my little bitty entry.

Never participated in the Artsy side of blogging before, but have seen references to Theme Days and thought I would play along today and have fun with it.

As you may have already guessed, YEP, I drew it with my finger on my iPAD on the "Draw Free" App.

Now, regarding my talents, I can write, speak, and sing...but NOBODY, and I repeat, NOBODY ever accused me of being able to draw well.

Nevertheless, I respectfully submit my "Pink Icing Cupcake" into the "Simply Darling" category:)

lol...
In Him,
Grace
ps...I posted it before realizing that I hadn't signed and dated it. BUT it's re-posted now:)

Hey, Grace! How exciting to see you join in! I've never drawn on an Ipad before, so I am impressed. I'm starving for dinner at the moment, so that cupcake looks extra good to me!
Yum! So fun to see you in the group! :)

lol Thanks. I suspect that I am limited to hearts and flowers and maybe some VERY elementary landscape scenes lol...grass, a tree, a sun in the sky and a bird on the wing maybe.

lol...its fun to draw on an iPAD though. Very much like being a little kid and finger painting. This particular app will let you choose various mediums...pencil, crayon, painbrush...and will let you choose the the THICKNESS of the stroke of each. You can use multiple mediums and thicknesses in each drawing.

Its fun.

Thanks for commenting on my goofy cupcake lol...

By the way, wanted to tell you that your mushroom and little bird are just wonderful.

In Him,
Grace

Hi Grace ~ so glad to have you in our group. I think your "artsy" side is "simply darling" and your cup cake...I'd say very cute. I have to agree with Betsy...you know how to frost a cupcake. I know how to eat one!!

You will find us all just people enjoying a little fun together each week as we play around with a theme....Good job.

Drew it with the ipad. That's pretty cool. I could go for a pink cupcake. Or any cupcake.

This is very creative! I never would have thought to use an ipad. Love the pink!

very nice Grace. Icing does have a cuteness quality to it, which goes along great with parties and of course the taste buds too. I play draw free all the time, didn't know you could save the drawings though. BTW, scrolling down, that tiger pic is great, that look on it's face is great. Thanks

Nice to embrace your creative side, right? I love this group because it's more about expressing yourself rather than being a professional artist. And your cupcake is so stinking cute. Welcome!

Hey, Grace, welcome aboard! Ty for palying along and entering this gooey piece of pink goodness. I don't think I'd be able to do anything on a doodle pad like that as you did so kudos for giving it a go.

BTw, do be sure to link to the post itself and mention "Creative Tuesday" as well as it must have a link back to my blog for others to follow along too. Thanks.

Christie is totally right, btw. I ahve watched so any artist grow from stick figure art to more adn more expressive as time went on. that is so fun to see too.

Such a fabulous cupcake. The iPad work does seem to be getting more popular. Well done!
