The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas

The Reward for Surviving Rough Seas
We are all like sea shells tossed about in rough waters and being re-shaped in wondrous ways. But have you ever contemplated the notion that sea shells have to complete their journey through the rough waters before they get to rest on the shore? Yeah, we are ALL like sea shells and Heaven is The Great Shore.

This State of Limbo

Greetings Everybody,
It's been a while since I posted.  Nice to see you guys again.

During the time that I was mostly silent, there has been quite a bit going on.  I didn't just forget to post...I was just being quiet. Eventually I will fill in the gaps. Not ready to talk about it all yet.

Sometimes I just need to quiet.

As it happens, today I wanted to write again.

And today I want to say that God amazes me.

Every time...every single time...that we really need His Help...He DELIVERS!

I am not going to go into detail about all of that right now, but will just say that God is so very good.

For today though, I do want to share a little bit with you.

I had a job interview last week, for a different position within my same district.  It is a Central Office job, and I would love to be a part of the project that the position encompasses.

During this interview, they told me that there would be several more interviews in this selection process, and that it would be two or three weeks before the committee makes that selection.

Since last week was the first week of school, I suspect that the committee would not have asked anyone to come in for an interview during THAT week.

I say that because Everyone in Public Education knows that the first week of school is a total-energy-zapper and that NOBODY would be at their best for an interview that week.

Still, it's possible that they could have done so.

I just don't know yet.

But I do know this:

If God wants me to go into this new position, it will happen.

If He wants me to stay in the classroom, it will happen.

I just want to be in His Will.

And I am incredibly at peace with this state of limbo!

But I do kinda laugh to myself about how much energy it takes to get a school year started.

Firmly establishing the procedures & expectations of a classroom is really hard work.

And I wonder if the benefits of all of this hard work will be something that I end up handing over to another teacher?

Yet I am at peace about it.

And this peace is from God.

In His Time, I'll find out what He wants me to do.

But meanwhile, if He does leave me in the classroom, I have already discerned a couple of students whom I suspect He may have sent my way.

He does that.

Every year there are a couple of kiddo's who really need a strong Christian teacher...and I am humbled and honored when God puts me in their paths.

I'll be sure to let you guys know what God decides to do with me.

Meanwhile I will hold to this thought:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
Colossians 3:24

So glad you are back. I was going to contact you to see how school was going for you. Thanks for letting us know.

I always felt the same way about students that God sent me. Nothing comes by accident, does it?

If you do recieve the job position, will you take it?
Knowing you, you have spent a lot of time in prayer about the position.

I like that you took time away and were quiet. Sounds good! But you were missed.

How wonderful to know that I was mssed. Your comment made my heart happy.

If offered the job?????....more prayer required before I can answer that question for sure...but I am thinking YES.

Meanwhile, i am wondering about your situation...How did you handle NOT being at school this fall?
Was it difficult? Or on the 1st day of school, did you just snuggle back into the covers and go back to sleep with a smile on yor face?

I am curious about what that will feel like one day for me too.

Thank you for being there when I posted this morning.
Its nice to have a bloggy-buddy :)

Big ole blessings to you and yours!

In Him,

We do need to let GOD work in our lives and let it be his time and his will. HE knows and sees where he feels we will do the most good.

Will be keeping you in prayer.
